Interperate and Ideate Step

These two steps are very intertwined so here we are on the same page! Here is where brainstorming ideas and deciding on what my product will happen. First, we had to finish the Interperate step which was the brainstorming session, and then Ideate which was where we pinned down my final idea!

Interperate 

This a step to find flaws in your problem and your design principles that will be the criteria to guide any of my ideas that get created in the ideate step! This is some of the problem I found and my design principles.

This step involves getting ideas together and putting them against my design principles to find the best one for my user  and the most tangible for me to create!

Monthly mental health awareness day

This is a 2x2 its purpose is to see what ideas (even crazy ones) are best suited to my user and my design principles.

Reflection

Overall I ended up combining two of my ideas as a summary the ideas was to use the CATCH program, that Coach Graber and Coach Grandison has introduced as a base and then adding my three tier program would cover almost all the bases I wanted to cover. It does this by using teachers, students, and counselors. This means that the CATCH program which is a student lead mentorship program which focuses on mental health would be a big part and would require student participation and the 3-tier system uses teachers by teaching common problems with mental health students and then having open lines of communication with the monthly student check ins- this is conducted in  advisory and would only take about 10 mins tops a day for the teacher. I will also be making sheet with common mental health problem and how to de-esclate until the counselor can be involved. This supports my Interperate statement:

Students and teachers need a way to properly and safely improve mental health because I learned that Mental health was not acknowledged in schools because of how new science is.
